What Pokonook is

Pokonook is a fan-made community directory of Pokopia Cloud Islands, terrain seeds, and creator profiles. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company International. Pokopia and all related names and assets are trademarks of their respective owners.

Where our data comes from

Pokémon species reference data (names, dex numbers, default sprites) is pulled from PokéAPI, which is a public, community-maintained dataset. No game-guide, strategy, or walkthrough content is replicated from any other site.

Your content

When you submit a Cloud Island, screenshot, or profile information to Pokonook:

• You own it. You retain all rights to your original content.
• You grant us a license. By submitting, you grant Pokonook a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the site and related social channels.
• You can remove it. Delete your submissions at any time through your account, or email us and we’ll handle it.
• Third-party takedowns are handled under our DMCA policy. Valid notices are actioned within 5 business days.

Content guidelines

To keep the ledger cozy and defensible, submissions must:

• Be your own build, or shared with the creator’s explicit consent. No re-uploading someone else’s island.
• Use only screenshots you captured in-game. No ripped sprite sheets, no official Nintendo marketing art, no assets from other fansites.
• Contain no scraped or copy-pasted content from Serebii, Bulbapedia, PokéDB, or any other reference site. If you want to reference them, link out — don’t republish.
• Avoid offensive, hateful, sexual, or illegal content.
• Not impersonate another creator or misrepresent ownership of a build.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules, even retroactively.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Spam, scrape, or abuse the service in ways that degrade the experience for others.
• Attempt to access admin features or other users’ accounts.
• Reverse-engineer, bulk-export, or republish Pokonook data without written permission.

Monetization & ads

Pokonook is free to use. We may display ads via Google AdSense on browse pages (homepage, biome, tag, Pokémon, Magic Number) to cover hosting costs. We do not place ads on Cloud Island detail pages, creator pages, submission forms, login, admin, or settings.

Pokonook does not sell user data. Optional tips are handled off-site via Ko-fi; see /support for details. See /privacy for how ad personalization works and how to opt out.

Intellectual property

Pokopia, Pokémon, and all related marks are trademarks of Nintendo / Game Freak / The Pokémon Company International. Pokonook does not claim ownership of any Nintendo intellectual property. In-game screenshots submitted by creators are shared under fair use as part of a community fan directory.

The Pokonook name, DittoMark logo, and site design are our original work. Please don’t reuse them without permission.

Limitation of liability

Pokonook is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the site running and accurate, but we’re a small fan project and can’t guarantee uptime, data integrity, or freedom from bugs. Use the site at your own risk. In no event shall Pokonook be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
